The Damang plant delivers power to the Gold Fields mining concession in Damang, located in the Prestea-Huni Valley district in the  Western Region of Ghana.

The Damang plant is made up of five units of Siemens Centrax CX501 KB7S gas turbines each with an installed capacity of 5.5MW and available capacity of 5.1MW. The total available capacity of the plant is 25.5MW.  The plant runs with four units at a time with the remaining  unit as backup. Each unit is fully containerized to include all auxiliaries. The Damang plant runs on natural gas from our pipelines and delivers power to the Damang mine on an 11kV overhead line. The plant was commissioned in 2016 and converted to natural gas in 2019.

Plans are underway to install two new Solar Titan 130 turbines to replace the Centrax units.
