Genser Energy’s Natural Gas Solutions SBU comprises natural gas pipelines, virtual natural gas pipelines (compressed natural gas (“CNG”)) and natural gas compression stations. Over the past five years, it has commissioned four natural gas pipelines totalling 430km which serves its Power Solutions assets, Midstream Solutions assets and third-party assets.

The Company is currently the largest and only private owner of natural gas pipelines in Ghana, as detailed below:

  1. 135km 20” Natural Gas Pipeline (“Primary Pipeline_01”) – main trunk line linking its Dawusaso Branch Station to the Prestea Regulating and Metering Station (“PRMS”) owned by Ghana National Gas Company (“GNGC”)
  2. 100km 12” Natural Gas Pipeline (“Branch Pipeline_01”) linking its GP Tarkwa, GP Damang and GP Wassa Plants to the PRMS
  3. 20km 12” Natural Gas Pipeline (“Branch Pipeline_02”) linking the GP Chirano Plant to the existing Primary Pipeline_01
  4. 65km 12” Natural Gas Pipeline (“Branch Pipeline_03”) linking its Edikan Plant to the Primary Pipeline 01 at Dawusaso
  5. 110km 24” Natural Gas Pipeline (“Primary Pipeline_02”) linking Primary Pipeline 01 to Kumasi to feed power plants being relocated to Kumasi from Tema and Aboadze
