Genser Energy has developed a 320 km natural gas pipeline network in southwestern Ghana to interconnect its power generation plants to the Ghana National Gas Company’s Prestea Regulating and Metering Station (PRMS). The network is being rolled out over three phases with Phase I currently active.
Phase I: In May 2019, Genser Energy commissioned an 80km natural gas pipeline that interconnects the PRMS to our Tarkwa and Damang plants.
Phase II: Genser Energy has begun construction on a 155km natural gas pipeline to interconnect the PRMS to our Chirano plant and a proposed bauxite refinery in and around Nyinahin.
Phase III: Genser Energy has obtained all right of way approvals and regulatory permits to construct an 85km natural gas pipeline which will interconnect our Phase I & II natural gas pipelines to our Edikan and Wassa power plants.
